What is the meaning behind this photo?

Could it be the Foo gang is prepping for its first production in over two years? There are 78 project listed in the Movie Vault... Could there be a Number 79 on the way?

And wouldn't ya know, before you could say Baby Time, Dan would find himself with a new production to prepare for: his first baby, a boy to arrive in January 2006.

So, Dan and his wife Kerry podcasted for most of the past year, sharing their pregnancy experiences with the world on the Baby Time show.

Well... With the impending parental responsibilities and complete loss of a little something we call "free time," will we ever see There's No Place Like completed? You betcha. Like the delivery of the baby, we don't know when it will happen, but it sure will.

Word has it the project is being discussed once again. Reportedly, Dan has asked C.C. to play a large part in the production, and C.C. was said to be very happy with the role he'd play.

Hopefully, we'll have more information to share soon.

Steve has signed a deal with director Mike Amato to make movies with Jodom, and Blackout is set to be his directorial debut for the company.

What does this mean for the unfinished Random Foo production of Steve's script? As the previous work was intended to serve as test footage, it should be helpful for Steve and Mike in producing the new version. The cast should remain the same with Gerry Bova and William DeCoff aboard.

As editing progresses, co-directors Dan and C.C. will be discussing the music needs of the short and any interested composers will no doubt see information on this page about getting involved. Keep an eye out for that...

With editing and music still to come, Dan anticipates a release date of early 2005.

What's going on here? Is Dan cleaning his glasses? Is Vacc performing a baptism? The result of this strange activity will be an interesting shot in the movie.

All that remains for There's No Place Like are a few more scenes. Those will hopefully be done in the next few weeks.

Filming is slated to continue next weekend with the meat of the project. By the end of the year this project should be ready to enter post production.

The happy couple got to play on the beach and in the surrounding woods and rocks. It was an early morning, but well worth it. Even some nagging battery problems wouldn't get in the way of getting the three scenes filmed that we set out to complete.

Filming is set to resume on November 7th at several locations in the Wellesley area with all filming being completed before the end of the year.

The search is also underway for the perfect composer to join the crew, but no one has signed on just yet.

Shooting will continue during two weekends in November with one stop in Stoneham and another at Babson College in Wellesley. After that, hopefully there will be enough time for post-production that a release by the end of 2004 can become a reality.

Meanwhile, as the crew is being finalized, one person has already come aboard. Dan has drafted Anthony Villa to design a special prop for the movie. Besides his memorable acting turns for Jodom Pictures, Anthony has also done prop and set design work for projects such as Demento 3 and Dan's short for Seven Sisters Films, Climate Control.

However, still anxious to shoot something Foovie-related with the Canadians, Dan devised a plan to shoot a commercial that may be featured in There's No Place Like up in locations like Banff, the Badlands, and other stunning locations in the Great White North. Plenty of footage has been captured, so don't be surprised to see this Foovie be the first with an international locations list.

Nicole brings an impressive resume to the table, including numerous appearances with Midnight Chimes Productions as well as a long list of local voice-over work.

Now that casting is complete, Dan and C.C. are already hard at work on pre-production, discussing locations and drafting crew members. Look for more information in the coming weeks about this tentatively scheduled October production.

Dan will be playing the lead role of a businessman enduring a long day at the office. Joining him at "the office" will be up-and-coming indie actress Danielle Lozeau. Danielle has been working steadily over the past two years, making a name for herself with such groups as Jodom Pictures, Timberwolf Entertainment, and Boston's XYtv.

Joining Danielle will be Jodom veteran Brian Hoffman, who followed his memorable comedic debut in Limelight with a dramatic turn in A House Divided. Mike Duca has joined the cast as well, following his Foo debut in the upcoming Absolute Precision.

Thunderground is the working title for the new project being written about a famous rock band making a comeback, and their story "behind the music," so to speak. It involves a live performance, a documentary film crew, crazed groupies, face-melting guitar solos, and pretty much everything else you'll find at a great rock show.

Right now, all that can be said is that Dan is writing the screenplay. No word yet on casting, but long-time friends of Foo and musicians Luke Stark and Anthony Villa have come aboard the project as "consultants" of some kind.
