Chugging Along
The script has reached 75 pages and is moving along smoothly. But, there is a major rewrite about to happen because C.C. feels that there is not enough conflict or "meaning" to what is going on in the script. He is still targetting the end of the year for a solid copy of the script, but it's hard to put a time line on how long creativity will take. *grin*
From a Short to a Feature
After completing the 18 page script for this film several people read it and the same comment kept coming back of, "these are really great characters. It's too bad this is a short."
Hearing this over and over made C.C. really take a look at what he wanted to do with the project and a decision was made to attempt turning it into a feature length script.
Nightly writing is underway with the project currently just under 30 pages and going strong.
Mysterious Progress
Director C.C. Chapman may have a cast in place for Behind A Smile, but exactly what is the status of the project? Some changes may be on the horizon; stay tuned at the Director's Diary at http://www.behind-a-smile.com.
Director's Blog Online
C.C. will be documenting the making of Behind A Smile online in a brand new blog, which is now online. Check it out: http://www.behind-a-smile.com
Script Done
The script has been completed for this film with plans now underway about when best it would be to actually attempt production.
A name change is planned as well as no one wants this to be associated with the current popular cover song by Limp Bizkit. *grin*
